The Unit Dalregementet
The Swedish Armed Forces defend Sweden, the country's interests, our freedom, and the right to live as we choose. The establishment of Dalregementet is part of building Sweden's defense capability. Until the regiment is developed to full capacity, including a new regimental area, the operations will be characterized by continuous development and change. Working methods will change over time to adapt to the growing organization and its activities.
About the Education Support Department
The department serves as the regiment's development and education center. Here, officers, senior non-commissioned officers, and civilians work together to achieve the organization's goals. The department primarily operates in three areas:
- Development: We develop technology, tactics, and combat techniques to meet tomorrow's capability requirements.
- Education: We are responsible for education planning and lead the implementation of the infantry battalion as well as the competence development of soldiers, employees, and officers here and now.
- Exercise and Training: We exercise, test, and evaluate both our own units and formations to continuously improve our joint capability.
Main Responsibilities
As the Head of the Development Section, you are responsible for and lead the operational activities within your section. You are meticulous, structured, and have an easy time collaborating with other colleagues. We are looking for you who want to develop as a leader and manager, who are passionate about improvement work and developing your staff and operations. Regardless of background, it is important that you are meticulous and unpretentious, which also means that you are a good team player. You are flexible and can handle temporary peaks in workload without becoming stressed, and you possess a good ability to make decisions. You are caring without being afraid to set demands, follow up, and take action when necessary.
You ensure that the section functions efficiently and delivers high-quality work as requested. You are responsible for planning, implementation, and follow-up of the operations, ensuring that necessary prioritizations are made. You participate in the department's management group, collaborate with other section heads, and coordinate activities with peer departments. You handle tasks within your own section and support the department in recruitment, staffing, and competence development.

Qualifications
- Swedish citizenship
- OF1b/OR7 (Lieutenant/Sergeant Major)
- Good proficiency in spoken and written Swedish and English.
- At least a Category B driver's license
- At least FmfyS level 2

Good social and collaborative skills, initiative-taking ability, flexibility, stress tolerance, meticulousness, and the ability to work independently under one's own responsibility. Great importance will be attached to personal suitability.

Other Information
Employment Type: Permanent employment starting with a six-month probationary period.
Full-time: Yes.
Working Hours: 40 hours/week, daytime Monday-Friday with flexible working hours agreement, but duty may be scheduled outside regular working hours.
Work Location: Falun, but duty at other locations may occur.
Expected Start Date: As soon as possible according to agreement.
Salary: Individual salary setting is applied within the framework of the Swedish Armed Forces' salary policy.
Interviews will be held in Falun after agreement.

Dalregementet is one of the Swedish Armed Forces' new-old units with origins dating back to 1625. The regiment was re-established in 2021 following a decision by the Riksdag. Our operations are located in Falun, and we will contribute to the training of soldiers who build the future infantry units/Army.

An employment with us involves placement in a security class. Swedish citizenship is usually required.
